Short description: An interactive workshop empowering students with critical thinking and media literacy skills.
Project description:
The primary objective of our project is to equip students with the essential skills needed to navigate today’s complex information landscape with confidence. Through interactive activities and discussions, students will strengthen their critical thinking abilities by learning to analyze arguments, detect biases, and evaluate evidence. They will practice questioning assumptions and considering multiple perspectives before forming opinions, building confidence in making logical and informed decisions in real-world situations. Additionally, students will improve their media literacy by understanding the impact of social media and algorithms on shaping public opinion. They will gain insights into how information is curated, shared, and potentially distorted online, and develop skills to interpret and critique digital content effectively. The session also aims to foster a growth mindset, helping students realize that critical thinking is a skill that can be developed with practice.
